- Conduct educational programs and activities to strengthen and develop risk management programs and promote professional development
- Provide a forum for the free exchange of ideas and information of mutual interest among the membership
- Promote the specific interest of health care risk managers through interdisciplinary conferences and forums
- Provide input and updates on legislation and regulations relating to health care risk management
- Identify trends in risk management
