 The Washington Health Care Risk Management Society was organized in 1983 as a forum for risk managers and others within the healthcare industry whose professional practice contributes to the identification, assessment, prevention and control of a healthcare risk. It is comprised of the following healthcare professionals:
- Risk managers from healthcare facilities
- Risk managers from managed care organizations and physician groups
- Risk managers from the healthcare malpractice insurance industry
- Defense attorneys
- Risk management consultants
- Healthcare clinicians, and others involved in healthcare risk management
